Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

SLA cited Bethesda’s solid focus on community building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its concept the winning edge. The first level will include 10 F&B offerings, whilst the 2nd floor will certainly house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in collaboration with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working space. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the third floor.

“By mixing modern comforts with the timeless beauty of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that exceeds typical holiday accommodation,” adds Wong.

Wong says Habyt Kada at Maxwell speaks for the company’s commitment to redefining versatile living in Singapore and notes its change towards the next step of development for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room rates at Kada at Maxwell will start at $180 per night.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong signalled that the firm was planning to add more short-term living selections to its local listing. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Property by Habyt.

The site was awarded to Bethesda Medical, which sent a per month rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest proposal cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

The adaptable space lies throughout a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, created by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was among the earliest modernist buildings in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

A public tender to lease the real estate, now handled by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based upon the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA enticed prospective buyers to think about inspired lifestyle concepts.

Habyt has launched a new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship place for the operator’s Habyt Flex design, that offers a strategic broadening of the business’s product offerings beyond long-term co-living.

Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy unlimited and complimentary access to the property’s health and wellness amenities, such as the performance gym, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot bathrooms.

Kada at Maxwell are going to provide a range of rooms, including en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully installed kitchen space. Visitors can book spaces on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month selection additionally available.
